Jeffrey Garcia, Voice of Sheen in Jimmy Neutron, Dead
Jeffrey Garcia, the electrifying comedian and voice actor best known for bringing the hyperactive Sheen Estevez to life in Nickelodeon’s Jimmy Neutron franchise, has died at the age of 50.
Garcia passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at a hospital in Southern California after being removed from life support the previous evening. According to family members speaking exclusively to WorldReport.press, the cause of death was multiple organ failure triggered by a collapsed lung, severe pneumonia, and the lingering effects of a stroke and earlier brain aneurysm.
The entertainer’s health had deteriorated rapidly in recent weeks. He was initially hospitalized on November 20 with pneumonia and discharged after improvement, only to be readmitted on December 8 in respiratory distress. Doctors discovered his lung had collapsed; despite aggressive treatment, his condition became irreversible.
Born May 3, 1975, in La Puente, California, Garcia began performing stand-up comedy at age 15 and quickly rose through Los Angeles’ Latino comedy circuit. He gained early television exposure on shows such as Caroline in the City and Dangerous Minds before landing the role that would define his career: Sheen Estevez, the Ultra Lord-obsessed, sugar-fueled sidekick in the 2001 Oscar-nominated film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
The movie’s success launched the Emmy-nominated series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2002–2006) and eventually the spin-off Planet Sheen (2010–2012), with Garcia voicing the character across more than 80 episodes and earning a 2004 Annie Award for his performance.
Beyond Jimmy Neutron, Garcia’s distinctive voice appeared in major animated features including Happy Feet, Rio, Rio 2, and Barnyard (plus its long-running TV spin-off), as well as guest roles on Clone High and video games. On the live-action side, he starred alongside Bill Bellamy and Jon Lovitz in the syndicated sitcom Mr. Box Office and remained a fixture at the Laugh Factory and Ice House comedy clubs until weeks before his death.
Garcia is survived by his daughter Savannah, son Joseph “Jojo” Garcia (an emerging stand-up comedian), and an extended family that described him as “the heartbeat of every room he entered.”
His son Jojo announced the passing on Instagram with a poignant tribute: “My father was unapologetically himself… He was a Father, Son, Uncle, Cousin, Brother, but most of all, he was my best friend. Fly high, Rocket Man.”
Tributes from co-stars and fans poured in throughout the day. Debi Derryberry (voice of Jimmy Neutron) wrote, “Jeff was the funniest man in the room—always. The world feels quieter today.” Nickelodeon issued a statement calling Garcia “an irreplaceable talent whose manic energy helped define an entire generation’s childhood.”
Funeral arrangements are pending, with the family requesting privacy. A public memorial celebration of life is being planned for early 2026 in Los Angeles.
Jeffrey Garcia leaves behind not just an unforgettable body of work, but the enduring image of a man who lived at full volume—on stage, on screen, and in the hearts of everyone who ever heard him yell, “Ultra Lord!”
